Introducing...

Wild Rose

Riding Academy

Why:   MORE…More ride time, more knowledge, more fun!

While watching our students it has become increasingly evident that we need to offer MORE!  To give our students the opportunity to reach the level of horsemanship we are striving to achieve, we need more time with each and every student. One lesson once week is great, but we can do better!

How:   The Academy will give students 3 days per week of riding and the learning time that they need.

To truly learn horsemanship, students need hands on time with horses. The Academy will provide supervised instruction in many areas that we are not able to cover in our regular lesson format. Activities will include stable management, feeding, health care, plenty of ride time, introduction to other disciplines, first aid, vaccinations, illness, anatomy, conformation, breed recognition and much much more.

When: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week throughout the summer.

            Time:  8:00am to 1:00pm daily.

Who:  Adults & Kids alike. If you want to become a better equestrian this is for you!
(Students will be separated into age/ability groups)

Cost:  $95 for 3 days.  Compared to your one hour lesson at $30

Subjects that will be covered during the 8 weeks of Riding Academy are designed to enhance ALL students’ knowledge and skill. This hands on experience gives each student the confidence and knowledge to handle horses in a variety of situations as well as broaden their understanding of what is necessary to care for a horse.

We have 5 hours a day for three days a week. Giving us enough time to handle horses and get into more in-depth understanding of horsemanship. There will be hours of ride time each week. Along with the trail riding, fun and games, there will be structured lessons included. Our classroom time will be very interesting and challenging. We have added many new and innovative teaching aids for this years’ class time. There will be a hands-on segment for every class. Giving students the opportunity to experience all new information personally.

Please understand this program is not in addition to your regular lessons, it is in lieu of your regular lesson. As we are aware of the financial obligation.

Bring: Students will need to bring these items daily.
A sack lunch, change of clothes, riding boots. sun block, shorts, tennis shoes and snacks to get them through the day.
